About Us

Created By Parents

The Neurodiverse Family Support Network was created by parents who understand how difficult it can be to find the right support. We bring families together across Liverpool through coffee mornings, small activity groups, school holiday programmes and community events.

Our team combines lived experience with practical knowledge. We offer a welcoming place to meet others, share experiences and find support that fits your family. Our aim is a future where neurodiversity is valued and every young person’s strengths are recognised

Our History

We began as Autism in Motion in 2015, when a small group of parents came together because they struggled to find support for their neurodiverse families. We started with coffee mornings where parents and carers could share experiences and help one another.

As our community grew, we changed our name from Autism in Motion to The Neurodiverse Family Support Network. We wanted our name to reflect the wider range of neurodivergent children and young people, and the families we support.

Today, we bring families together at venues across Liverpool through coffee mornings, small activity groups, school holiday programmes and community events. The friendships and understanding that started it all are still at the heart of what we do.
